As a psychologist, I have always been passionate about helping others navigate the complexities of mental health, and that is partially thanks to a deeply personal journey that led me to a profound understanding of the human psyche and the importance of mental health.

"Trapped: My True Story of Medication Mania" is not just a memoir; it's a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and a raw, honest account of my own battle with a life-threatening mental illness. Fresh out of college, I thought I had the world at my feet, but life had other plans. I was thrust into a darkness so deep that it seemed impossible to escape.

But I did. I found a way to regain my sanity and live medication-free for many years, believing I had conquered my demons. Little did I know that a chance encounter would unlock a flood of memories, reshaping my understanding of my past and the complexities of my diagnosis.

Through "Trapped," I share not only my personal story but also key insights about mental health. I hope that by opening up about my experiences, readers will see mental illness in a new light and gain a deeper awareness of this crucial aspect of human existence.

To my potential counseling patients, I want you to know that you're not alone. My journey through the darkness of mental illness has made me a more empathetic and understanding therapist. I believe in the power of healing and the potential for recovery. "Trapped" is my way of extending a hand to those in need, a testament to the fact that there is hope, even in the darkest of times.

If you're ready to take the first step toward healing, I'm here to guide you, drawing on my own experiences and professional expertise to help you find your own path to recovery.
